Rejoice Painting Commission

So excited to share my latest painting commission based on the word REJOICE for a private collector here in the UK. These are both 12 x 12 inch on wooden panel and painted in acrylics with pencil.

The client wanted a painting for her bedroom, tying in with her teal, purple, and pink colour scheme. I loved working on this commission for her.

I used mark-making to create a U shape as if lifting your arms upwards to the sky and embracing the brightness and uplifting light shining down on you.

When I work on a commision I work on two paintings at the same time, one that is more what I think the client would like and sticks more to the brief and the other that is more experimental and a looser interpretation.

I am happy to say the client bought both as she couldn’t decide between the two. Unfontunate for me as I loved them both so much that I wanted to keep one for myself.
